UTZ Certified Producers train their employees on health and safety procedures and on the correct use of agrochemicals. UTZ Certified provides training tools and information about world markets so that they can apply sustainable agricultural practices and are able to negotiate a better price for their quality product. Children on UTZ Certified farms also have access to schooling.
Labour Rights
UTZ Certified requires that Producers and Cooperatives comply with national labour laws and their conventions of the International Labour Organisation regarding age, working hours, working conditions, collective bargaining and safety.
Healthcare, water and housing
Workers and their families have access to decent housing, clean drinking water and healthcare services.
