EKKA: THE COFFEE CLUB FASHION PARADES & THE COFFEE CLUB NEW FACES TALENT SEARCH

The Coffee Club2009 saw our 5th year as a sponsor of The Coffee Club Parades, which featured the work of some of Queensland’s best designers who have received acclaim locally, nationally and internationally.

Over the 10 days of Ekka, The Coffee Club Parades has continued to prove itself as a crowd favourite - with the auditorium brimming at each of the hourly shows!

PANIYIRI - GREEK FESTIVAL

As you are probably aware, we are an Australian company founded by three very entrepreneurial Greek men. Emmanuel Drivas, Emmanuel Kokoris and John Lazarou are held in high regard within the Greek community. Every year for the past 10 years we have been sponsors of the Paniyiri Festival. Over 100,000 people enter the gates of Musgrave Park in South Brisbane over 2 days to experience everything Greek, from food to music and dancing.

The Coffee Club has three coffee carts over the duration of the two days. All stock and staff are donated to the Greek community to assist in the success of the event.

All moneys raised during the event are donated to the Greek community.

Over the past 2 years The Coffee Club has actively participated in raising funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation – NBCF. With merchandising kits being sent around the nation, and countless stores requesting a second and third kit, The Coffee Club successfully helped raise over $13,000 for Breast Cancer Research in 2007. The Kim Walters Choices Program (Choices) is a unique community service offering individual support and counselling for women, men and their families who have been affected by breast or gynaecological cancer diagnosis.

November and December are an extremely busy time of year. Not only is it a time to prepare ourselves for gift buying, planning our Christmas lunch menu and getting our favourite eggnog recipe from Grandma, it is also a time for reflection and sometimes hardship.

Special Children’s Christmas Parties are organized in Brisbane, Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. Annually these parties enjoy the presence of over 3,500 terminally ill, under-privileged or special needs children. The day is inspired by happiness, joy and giving.
